Aim

"ESCAPE the phobia" aims to reduce the prevalence of xenophobia and intolerance among young people aged 15-20 years old in Sweden and to provide teachers and youth leaders with new innovative tools to do this.

Objectives

• We have spread the methods in Escape the phobia to increase knowledge about Islamophobia, Afrophobia and Homophobia to at least 900 people 15-20 years nationally through mainly school visits. 

​​

• At least 75% of people feel that the methods have reduced their attitudes of xenophobia and intolerance.

​

• We have produced an instructional video for each learning escape room to make it easier for teachers and youth leaders to use the method.

​

• The methods have been spread to at least 2,000 teachers and youth leaders in Sweden.

​

​

Instruction manuals for setting up each learning escape room are now available below, so that teachers and youth leaders can easily use the method on their own after the visits. An instructional video will also be uploaded soon!
